In my research methods class, we were tasked with the challenge of choosing a professional communication topic and writing a qualitative or quantitative method research study proposal on it. I decided to propose a qualitative method research study on the role of social media in building corporate brand identity and reputation. I chose this topic because there are limitations in the existing research, and I wanted to understand how brand managersselect social media platforms for their brands and how this affects the brand’s corporate identity and reputation.
