I’m Avni Gujral, a communications professional. I have a background in English and graphic design. I am currently a graduate student at the University of San Francisco pursuing my Master’s in Professional Communication with a concentration in Strategic Communication, graduating in December 2022. I am now eager to take the next step in my career at a company that will allow me to continue to develop professionally, cultivate meaningful relationships, and be passionate about the work I perform every day. Now that we’ve covered the fundamentals allow me to elaborate on what motivates me.

I am proactive, perceptive, and business-oriented. Stories should be strategic, and I can assist in telling brand stories and laying the foundations for more incredible stories to be told. I think that imagination can change the world, and I’m on a mission to help organizations tap into their creativity so that they can build stronger brands and strengthen connections with their employees, stakeholders, and customers. My ultimate career goal is to work with organizations whose mission and goals align with mine.

Through my education at the University of San Francisco and my work experiences, I’ve learned a lot about the world of strategic, brand and corporate communication. Having travelled to more than 15 countries has given me the experience to learn about communication in different cultures, broaden my horizon, and learn about cross-cultural business communication. I value the lessons I’ve received, and I look forward to learning more about this exciting field. I am confident that through my education, travel and work experience, I will be an asset to any company I work with.

MOTIVATED

Whether in the workplace or the classroom, I’m driven to succeed. I always give 100% to the projects I work on and constantly look forward to the next challenge. During my Master’s degree program, I completed a summer internship while being enrolled in two summer-only courses. Through hard work and determination, I was able to succeed at both.

POSITIVE

I bring a positive, upbeat attitude to my work every day. The world of communication is fast-paced, and situations frequently alter without notice. I try to remain calm under stress, focus on being adaptable, and attempt to rectify the problem towards finding a solution.

ENGAGED

No matter the job, project or class, I’m fully committed to my work. I enjoy my work and strive hard to achieve success. I enjoy being a team member and taking the initiative over a project. In my spare time, I take online courses and watch videos to expand my knowledge and skills to keep up with the rapidly changing world.
